Friends of St Joseph’s
We are extremely proud of our school and thank the members of our Friends Committee for their hard work in organising, a variety of fundraising events throughout the year.
Donations received from the Friends during the school year are used to purchase additional resources to support the curriculum and improve the school environment. Every year we are able to fund curriculum events such as the Roman Day, art workshops, sports activities, the Easter Bonnet Parade and many other school activities.
All money raised is spent for the benefit of the children and over the summer break we were able to replace four new smart boards in Year 2, due to their generous donations. This year again the funds raised will go towards important projects; a key focus will be to continue to develop our garden and outside areas and purchase storage and outdoor seating for our prayer garden.
The Friends of St Joseph's Catholic Primary School is a registered charity and over many years we have organised fun events for the children alongside raising vital funding for the school.
Not only have we provided Christmas presents from Santa, Easter eggs from the Easter Bunny, Mother and Father's Day gift shops, Discos, Film Nights and a Leavers Prom, to name just a few, we have been able to support curriculum activities and purchase new resources such as Smartboards for the children.
We are always looking for new members to join us and usually hold a friendly, informal meeting once a term, in school, to discuss events, fund raising opportunities and where to spend the money! We appreciate any help, big or small and really look forward to meeting new people with new ideas!
We look forward to meeting you all.
